Ortho K - A Revolutionary Contact Lense Treatment An optician has given his opinion as to why ortho k lenses are a great product.The manager of The Eye Centre in Croydon suggesting that I-Go lenses were "very good" and that they are a safer option than choosing to undergo laser eye surgery. "A lot of people are actually afraid that [laser eye surgery] is a 50/50 thing - it can go ok and it can go wrong," he said. "If you value your eyes - as any normal human being would – then you would rather go for the safer option, where you can just put on these lenses and then you don't have to worry about it in the morning."
Writing in the Independent, Jimmy Lee Sheeve said that from the age of 13 he was forced to wear glasses. After a few misadventures with contact lenses and a fear of being "zapped by a ray gun" by having laser surgery, Mr Sheeve opted for ortho k lenses. From just one night of use, he claimed he was "stunned". "I'd still been slightly sceptical. I thought my eyesight might be corrected a bit with ortho k - perhaps to the point of being able to watch TV without glasses, but nothing more dramatic. I didn't expect a return to 20/20 vision," he said. "As far as I'm concerned, it's a minor miracle."
